Intel-based Macs aren’t supported yet.

The Windows version comes once its code signing certificate is in place, so Windows won’t block the installer. The same license will work on it.

Linux isn’t supported.

Once it’s installed

Open Utter. It lives in the menu bar (the system tray on Windows).
Click the Utter icon in the menu bar to open the settings, pick a voice service and paste in an API key from that provider. The pricing page shows roughly what an hour of listening costs with each.
Copy some text and press ⌥⇧S (Alt+Shift+S on Windows) to start reading. Press it again to stop.
The first time Utter reads the clipboard, macOS asks whether to allow it. To always allow it, open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Paste from Other Apps and set Utter to Allow.
